Hey Marsha, It’s Saraj.
(Readers, Saraj (not her real name) is a high school age girl who sends me dreams on occasion.)
Sorry for messaging you so late, but this dream is really eating at me lately.
It started off with me at work, and someone said there was an accident… and for whatever reason, I was freaking out trying to get ahold of my parents to make sure they were fine. The weather was getting bad out and I was ready to leave. I got ahold of my mom and she was going to get me, but I ended up on a school bus and basically felt like we were going in circles. Then we passed a bridge with only people on it. The people were rocking the bridge, back and forth, and laughing and smiling. They were soon told to stop because it could collapse and it did. I only saw the girl on the end as she fell to her death.
Scene 2: I then appeared at someone’s house and these people were trying to kill me and my family. I stabbed one of the guys in the back of the neck and locked me and mom into a room and busted the window screaming for help. This little girl came with her mom, but her mom was saying “Stay Back”, so then I had to climb out of the window and tried to escape leaving mom behind, thinking she’d be okay. Once I was out and about to run, I saw the same guy I had stabbed come around the corner and chase after me. I, then, found myself hiding in a camper and he had found me and got on top of me and started to strangle me. Then I died.

Hi Saraj,
I wanted to post this dream because it is a good teaching dream. A rule of thumb for dreams is to ask “Who is giving you this dream?”
· Is it from your own mind, your desires, or your own fears?
· Is it a dream brought on by drugs or something else your body has ingested?
· Is it from God, telling you about yourself so that you may “understand the thoughts of your heart?” A dream about what you are doing, or going through. (Remember 90-98% of our dreams are about what we are dealing with and going through.)
· Or is the dream another Word from God? A calling dream? Or a healing dream? Etc.
· Perhaps it’s a dream from God exposing a plan of the enemy? A plan the enemy has to tear you down. (Remember, plans of the enemy may be declared null and void if we pray against them, asking for God’s intervention. This is why the Lord reveals plans of the enemy. So it is no longer covert and can be dealt with successfully. Think military. If you know the enemy’s plans, a counter-defense can be set in motion. )
· Or a prophetic word? A word about the future?
· Or is the dream from the ENEMY, himself, to freeze you…to scare you. To get you to discount looking at your dreams?
A way to tell if a dream is from God is to look at the character and nature of God and compare it to the character and nature that the dream offers to you. In this case, this dream is full of fear.
1. Fear of accident.
2. Fear of family being hurt.
3. Fear of weather or outside, uncontrollable forces of nature.
4. Fear of “going in circles” or not accomplishing anything.
5. Fear of people being hurt through their ignorance, and through “rocking the bridge”.
6. Fear of personal attack on the dreamer.
7. Fear of personal attack on the dreamer’s family.
8. Fear of one-on-one warfare against a willful hurtful person.
9. Fear of not getting help.
10. Fear of escape not happening.
11. Fear of being found.
12. Fear of death.
Wow! I’m exhausted from all this. Big time fear.
Now, what is the character and nature of our God? The Bible says God does not wish to instill fear in His followers.
“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. – Isaiah 41, verse 10. NKJV”
“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. – Isaiah 41, verse 10. NKJV”
The enemy will give a dreamer a fear dream to get the dreamer off balance. To instill fear in hopes it will affect the dreamer’s decisions, or actions in an ungodly way. This might be the enemy wanting to “kill you in a spiritual way” or to separate you from God!
Sometimes fear dreams are brought on by our own fears, by our own soul.
But either way, whether it came from the enemy or from the dreamer’s soul, this dream is not of God, therefore is FALSE. Fear dreams should never be taken to heart. Test the dream against the Word of God and against the character and nature of God.
Saraj, this dream is a Fear Dream. So be proactive in ending reaction to this particular Fear Dream and others, by recognizing them, and renouncing them. Fear not. The only one trying to kill you and your family is the same one who gave you this dream. The enemy may be trying to kill you spiritually. But, the Lord is with you.
We all get fear dreams on occasion. The enemy loves to attack us this way. But, if you keep getting them, I would suggest you get one-on-one Godly counsel with one who understands biblical dream interpretation, to help you deal with it. Look at ways to combat this attack of the enemy. Or look at why these fears are so prevalent in your life, thus might be brought on by your own soul.
God Bless You. I (and your readers out there) will be praying for you Saraj. Contact me if you want some one-on-one talk.
Lord, I Pray that anything the enemy has planned against this dreamer be deemed Null and Void, in the name of Jesus. I pray joy and a renewal of her personal relationship with you be intense and overflowing. I pray for your peace upon her, and sweet God dreams.
Marsha
