From L:
I had a dream…If I remember correctly I think:
I was in a mall not far from an escalator and I looked down and my right leg was swollen, and seem to be saying in my mind gee I better go get checked out.
Marsha here: Let’s look at the symbols in this dream first.
-
Mall: a place of provision; obtaining things needed or wanted (Mt 11:16)
-
Escalator: transition of going upwards to a higher level under power not your own (Gen 28:12, 1Kgs 10:4-6, 2Chro 9:4, John 1:51)
-
Right: wisdom (Eccl 10:2); power (Exo 15:6); right-with-God (Mt 25:33) authority (Gen 48:18, Heb 9:1, 10:12, 12:2)
-
Leg: foundation (Exo 25:26, Song 5:15, Dan 2:33, Rev 10:1); ability to go forward (Ps 1470, Prov 26:7, Hab 3:16)
-
Swollen: disproportionately inflated
Now, why don’t we insert the symbolic meanings in the dream and see what we get:
I was in a place of provision/obtaining things I need and want, not far from a transition of going upwards to a higher level under a power not my own and I looked down and my wisdom/power/authority/right-with-God foundation/ability to go forward was disproportionately inflated and I seem to be saying in my mind gee I better go get checked out.
Okay. Let’s paraphrase this a little:
Close to a time of being moved into a higher level of work or activity, and while receiving preparation and becoming equipped, I realize that my foundation and ability to go forward is not as it should be. I need to look into this.
Interpretation might be:
You are being prepared to go to a higher level in your work or ministry. At this time you are being equipped. But there is a foundational issue that is overinflated that may keep you from going forward like you should. This is something you need to look into.
I would suggest you pray about this and ask the Holy Spirit to tell you what needs to be corrected. I’ll pray for you for wisdom and discernment.
